Czy jesteś tym, który puka?
Author: Dariusz Użycki
A friend recommended this book to me during a casual coffee chat. He joked that I’m the living embodiment of Walter White, the main character of the TV series “Breaking Bad” . This is partly due to my background as a Chemical Technologist, but also because of how I approach problems.
The book’s title also alludes to the series, in which Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher, transforms into a ruthless drug lord. In a pivotal scene, his terrified wife, Skyler, suggests they are in danger. Walter’s iconic reply has become legendary: “I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!”
This book is about taking control of your life1. It focuses on self-reflection, planning your professional development, and executing that plan. The book encourages you to ask yourself some fundamental questions:
- Who am I?
- Where am I now?
- Where do I want to go?
For me, it wasn’t a groundbreaking discovery, but rather a good compilation of ideas from other motivational books. However, if you’re at a crossroads in your life and reconsidering your next steps, this book can be a great guide.
It’s a good read, especially if you’re looking for something in Polish. The author, Dariusz Użycki, is an Executive Coach and a lecturer at SGH, a well-known Polish university. The best part? If you’re unsure about buying it, the ebook is available for free on the author’s website .
